Northumbria Police release image of man wanted in connection with Sunderland burglary which saw £300 cash and jewellery nicked

Northumbria Police are appealing for the public to help them find a man they want to speak to as part of an investigation into a Sunderland burglary earlier this year.

Officers have released CCTV images of the man in question - who was pictured in dark clothing and thought to have been near to the scene of the alleged burglary.

According to reports, on March 7 between 10am and 3.30pm a male offender gained access to an address in Durham Road in the city.

Police said he used a brick to enter the building via a window in the Durham Road property - he is thought to have taken items including £300 in cash, jewellery and clothes, along with a passport, bank card and car key. The perpetrator is then understood to have fled the area.

The latest police appeal is part of the ongoing investigation into what happened. The man pictured, or anyone who knows him, is asked to contact the police either by calling 101 or using the Tell Us Something page on the force's website quoting crime reference 027383D/22.
