A 25-year-old man has been found dead at a property in North Shields.
Police and paramedics were both called to an address in Stanley Street West on Friday morning.
The man has been named locally as Kyle Hetherington and on Facebook tributes have been paid to a "beautiful soul".
An ambulance was sent to the address. Northumbria Police confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicous.
“At 6.50am, police received a report that a 25-year-old male had been found deceased at an address in Stanley Street West, North Shields," said a force spokesperson.
“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
An inquest is expected to be held at a later date. North Tyneside Coroner's Service was not immediately available for comment.
A spokesperson for the North East Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 6.11am on Friday to a private address in North Shields and dispatched a paramedic and a double-crewed ambulance."
