Northside driver in hot water after being stopped with load dubbed 'Jenga for cars'

The driver of a vehicle carrying what appeared to be a very unbalanced load of cars and trucks found themselves in hot water when they were stopped by gardai yesterday.

The vehicle, which was stopped on the Malahide Road, appeared to have a number of cars and trucks stacked on top of each other in what one person on social media dubbed "Jenga for cars".

As well as not having the appropriate permits, the vehicle was also over legal height and length and the restraints used to keep the motors in place were worn and damaged.

Motorists accused of dodging M50 tolls handed fines totalling €100,000

Gardai shared the unbelievable image on social media yesterday morning.

They tweeted: "Commercial Vehicle Unit stopped above vehicle & load on the Malahide Road.

"Vehicle was over height and over length and had no appropriate permits.

"Restraints used on the load were worn and damaged. Driver and vehicle prohibited from continuing until defects and permits remedied!"
