One of the Northern Quarter's most-loved mosaics has been restored to its former glory.
The '...And on the sixth day God created Manchester' piece on the wall of Affleck's was targeted by vandals back in February.
The Short Street mosaic was daubed with pink paint, obscuring the word Manchester.
The damaged artwork was then removed from the building to see if it could be repaired.
Ten months later, the mosaic has finally been restored and returned to its rightful home in the Northern Quarter.
The mosaic, originally created by artist Mark Kennedy, was saved by a team from Afflecks Palace who hand cleaned it themselves over several weeks.
It's now reinstated to the side of the building on Short Street for all shoppers to enjoy.

Afflecks is open Christmas shopping with over 50 local, independent businesses across all four floors of the emporium, seven days a week right up until Christmas Eve, and operating under COVID-19 safety guidelines.
