Some Edinburgh and Lothians residents were lucky enough to witness the Aurora across the skies in Edinburgh and the Lothians last night.
Many locals snapped absolutely stunning photos of vibrant and mystical green lights glowing in the cold November night sky. The lights are visible due to some of the most ideal conditions of the year yet with many snapping incredible pictures of the Northern Lights or 'Mirrie Dancers' - as they are known in Scotland.
Normally, between December and January is the best time to see the breath-taking phenomenon, but a combination of clear skies and a solar flare saw reports of sightings as far south as Dumfries and Galloway in the last few days.
The lights were spotted in Ratho, North Berwick, Granton, Armadale and many other spots in the area.
