Northern Irish teacher's incredible Christmas note home for school kids will bring a tear to your eye

A note sent home with schoolchildren has been hailed as the holiday season approaches.

A Northern Irish teacher has outlined eight things that Primary 1 kids must do over the  festive period  as 'homework'.

Among them is, 'spend time with the people you care about', ‘visit your favourite place’ and ‘do something nice for somebody else’.

Belfast Live reports that Mums NI  posted a picture of the note, along with a tweet saying: “The 4-year-old came home with this in his school bag today, yay! No homework until the new year. Whoop whoop! That's the way it should be."

One Twitter user said: “That is lovely!!".

Another said: "Great... have a family Christmas."

The note ends: "And finally... come back to school ready to learn!"
