Northern Irish musicians to hold special live stream gig for charity

Northern Irish musicians are to hold a special charity ‘Live in Your Living Room’ on Tuesday night.

The people behind the popular Songbook live series in Belfast have organised the event to raise money for Marie Curie.

The free event will feature guests Joshua Burnside, Gemma Bradley, Ryan Mack and Darkling Air alongside on-stage host Nathan O’Regan with broadcaster Joe Lindsay interviewing the guests on all things musical.

The event has been made possible through sponsors Forestside Shopping Centre, the Ulster Sports Club and Marie Curie.

Organisers Nathan O’Regan and Ciaran McNally said: “We are delighted to present a live streamed gig from Ulster Sports Club to raise money for charity.

“Everyone has been bereft of live music over the last year because of the outbreak of Covid-19, we have decided to create a safe, and high end live gig that can be watched in the comfort of your own living room.

“We have four incredible guests: Ryan Mack, The Darkling Air, Joshua Burnside and Gemma Bradley showcasing local music in all forms who will perform their own original music broadcast across the internet via YouTube.”

The show starts at 7.55pm and you can watch it here.

Founded in the summer of 2017, Songbook was the brainchild of musician Nathan O’Regan. It gives artists the chance to perform their own music backed by some of Belfast's best session musicians.
