Northern Ireland weather warning issued for thunderstorms

A yellow weather warning has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland.

The Met Office says thunderstorms are expected to form in some areas, which may lead to power cuts.

The warning is in place from 4pm tomorrow afternoon, Thursday June 25 to 9am Friday morning, June 26.

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Whilst many places will be dry or see little rain, thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption in a few places.

"Sunny spells this evening then clear periods overnight. A mostly very mild night though cooler in sheltered rural spots, Light winds. Minimum temperature 15°C."
