Northern Ireland weather warning issued for strong winds

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for parts of Northern Ireland tomorrow.

They say a yellow wind warning will be in place from 10am on Friday morning to 9pm that night and that strong winds may cause some travel disruption.

A spokesperson said: "[Friday will bring] a mixture of bright intervals and blustery showers. Feeling cooler than recent days with strong or gale force southwesterly winds.

"Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible [and] some branch and tree damage causing localised transport disruption on roads and railways."

And the Met Office also said that the weekend weather will be wet and windy.

"An unsettled weekend with occasional rain or showers and strong southwesterly winds. Mainly dry with sunny spells and lighter winds on Monday," they added.
