A Met Office warning has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland this morning.
The yellow weather warning is in place for "heavy rain bringing some disruption from flooding" and will remain in place until 11am.
A Met Office forecaster said that Belfast, Ballymoney and Ballymena will be most affected by the rain.
He added: "[It will be] a cloudy start with showers, and prolonged heavy in Antrim and North Down , and northwesterly gales severe near coasts.
"It will gradually brighten up with some sunshine and more scattered showers, the winds gradually easing. Maximum temperatures today of 9C.
"[And tonight] a few showers may linger across the north and west but for most it will be a dry evening and night with clear spells leading to a frost and patchy fog with a minimum temperature of -3C."
The Met Office said:
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
