Northern Ireland weather warning for ice could lead to 'hazardous travel'

Another weather warning has been issued for Northern Ireland this week, with icy conditions forecast.

The yellow weather warning was advised on Monday morning, and is set to kick in from 8pm this evening, until 10am on Tuesday.

The Met Office warned of wintry showers across the north of the UK, with "icy patches leading to possible hazardous travel."

They added: "Some roads and railways affected, leading to longer journey times by car, bus and train [and] increased chance of injuries and accidents on icy pavements and cycle paths."

Meanwhile, a yellow weather warning from the weekend is still in place for snow and rain across Northern Ireland.
