Northern Ireland weather forecast predicts some sunny intervals on Friday

It's been a rather cloudy few days across NI with some spots of rain, but things are looking up with some sunny intervals predicted for Friday morning.

A Met Office spokesperson said it will stay dry and that for the most part March 5 will be rather cloudy.

The weather forecaster explained: "It will be a dry day. Rather a lot of cloud for most areas but a few breaks will allow some sunny intervals to develop. Winds will remain light. Maximum temperature 7 °C."

For tonight, they have said the rain will stay away though temperatures are expected to drop below 1: "Staying dry across the province with clear interludes allowing temperatures to fall and bring a frost to some areas.

"Light winds. Minimum temperature -1 °C."

Sunrise was at 7.04am on Friday morning and will set again at 6.07pm. Visibility will be good to very good with humidity ranging between 72% and 52% throughout the day.

But what about the rest of the week?

Saturday:

A dry day with variable cloud and some sunny interludes. Winds will remain mostly light, Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Sunday cloudy with some outbreaks of rain. Mostly dry and bright on Monday, A bright start on Tuesday then becoming windy with perhaps some rain later.
