Northern Ireland weather forecast predicted for the week ahead

Northern Ireland looks set to be hit with more unsettled weather, according to the Met Office.

A lot of cloud, a few showers and a bright sunny spells has been predicted across the country for most of the week.

National forecaster, the Met Office said the start of the new week would begin with a "cloudy morning with outbreaks of rain" on Monday.

As for the rest of the day, the forecaster said: "Brighter conditions with a few showers then spread southeast through the afternoon.

"Freshening northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C."

Between Tuesday and Thursday, conditions are expected to bring more rainy patches with the odd break in the weather by the way of sunny spells.

"Sunny spells and showers on Tuesday with a cool northwesterly breeze. Wednesday looks dry and bright with sunny spells and light winds but cloud increases through Thursday with rain later, " the Met Office added.

As for Friday, they said: "A brief very warm spell is likely for many areas at the end of this week with a good deal of sunshine, although increasing cloud may bring rain to northwestern areas."
