Northern Ireland weather forecast for week ahead as sun set to make a return

You wouldn't think it was August if you went by the weather this week.

Rain dominated the Met Office forecast for the last number of days, with a noticeable dip in temperatures in the evenings.

But this week, the sun will make a welcomed return to Northern Ireland - with no sign of rain.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said for Monday: "Overnight fog and low cloud burning off in the morning. Otherwise it will be dry with some warm sunshine. Maximum temperatures of 22C."

The outlook for Tuesday to Thursday is also looking pretty promising as we head into a Bank Holiday weekend.

All areas will be "dry and warm" with some good spells of sunshine, the Met Office says.

"Overnight fog and low cloud burning off in the morning," a spokesperson added.

The warmest day of the upcoming week will be Wednesday, which will have high UV levels and temperatures reaching 22C with no cloud.
