Northern Ireland weather forecast for the week ahead

Northern Ireland has been basking in glorious sunshine for the last week as temperatures have hit the mid twenties.

And after another scorcher over the weekend, we're now left wondering, is it here for another few days?

Well the simple answer is yes. According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, we're in for another couple of days at least of sunshine and high temperatures.

Sadly though we do live in Northern Ireland which means the rain is never far away but it looks to just be a temporary feature...we hope!

The latest forecast states, 'Monday will be dry, sunny and warm again although perhaps turning cloudier across the far west later. Light winds. Maximum temperature 24 °C.'

From Tuesday to Thursday we can expect 'mostly dry and warm on Tuesday, showers spreading south in the evening. Cool and cloudy on Wednesday with showery rain, turning dry again on Thursday'.

The end of the week will feel cooler though as temperatures drop into the mid teens with 14 or 13 degrees expected on Thursday and Friday.
