Northern Ireland weather for Friday April 30 as outdoor hospitality to reopen

Coronavirus restrictions are expected to be lifted further this week with the reopening of outdoor hospitality.

From Friday April 30, outdoor areas at hospitality venues can reopen - this includes cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, social clubs, including in members’ clubs.

And as businesses and the public prepare for a taste of normal life again, the Met Office has forecast a dry weekend.

While it may not be as hot as the weekend past, there is no sign of rain, which can only mean good news.

Friday will be sunny from 7am through to 7pm, the Met Office says, with some cloud.

Temperatures on Friday are to be as high as 10C with lows of 2C in some areas and the sun will set at 8.55pm.

On Saturday, the forecast looks similar - sun and cloud for the majority of the day, but with highs of 11C expected.

A Met Office spokesperson said from April 30 to May 9, the UK can expect "dry and fine conditions".

They added: "High pressure possibly dominating throughout this period, which will bring largely dry and fine conditions with bright spells and variable amounts of cloud. Showers, mostly light, are possible at times, especially across central and eastern parts of the UK."
