Northern Ireland Under 21 squad named for Hungary and Romania games

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Jack Scott has been included in Northern Ireland's Under 21 squad for the upcoming games against Hungary and Romania.

Ian Baraclough has named a 20-strong panel for this month's double-header.

Northern Ireland play Hungary in a friendly international at Ferney Park on Thursday evening, November 14 (7pm).

They also take on Romania five days later in a Euro 2021 qualifier at the Ballymena Showgrounds (November 19, 5.30pm).

Teenager Scott signed a four-year professional deal with Wolves earlier this year after impressing with the Premier League club's Under 18s.

The 17-year-old became the second youngest player in Northern Ireland Under 21 history (behind Liam Donnelly) when he featured against Finland in September at the age of 16 years and 353 days.

Baraclough’s squad features a number of new faces including Derry City goalkeeper Nathan Gartside.

Crusaders forward Harry Robinson, who is on loan at Seaview from League Two side Oldham Athletic, is also in the squad.

He previously played for the Northern Ireland U19s.

Glentoran midfielder Chris Gallagher is back in the U21 squad after missing last month’s qualifiers away to Denmark and Romania.

Also returning is Newcastle Jets defender Bobby Burns, who was excused international duty last month to enable him to settle in at his new club in Australia.

Also included is Manchester United's Ethan Galbraith and Glentoran striker Paul O'Neill.
