Northern Ireland Under 21 player's classy gesture to young Spanish fan

Northern Ireland's young footballers showed their class in the face of a painful Euro qualifying defeat on Tuesday.

John Schofield's Under 21s suffered a 3-0 loss to Spain in Seville.

It was their second defeat in the space of five days after losing to Russia on Friday, with the double-header leaving Northern Ireland rock bottom of Group C.

It was a tough pill for the young side to swallow, but they walked away with their heads held high - and a few new fans.

One Spanish supporter also walked away with a Northern Ireland top thanks to this classy gesture from Oisin Smyth.

The Dungannon Swifts midfielder presented the young boy with his match jersey after the final whistle.

And as you can see, the boy and his father were delighted with it.

Next up for the Under 21s are two home qualifiers.

Schofield's side take on Lithuania at the Ballymena Showgrounds on November 12 and Malta at Mourneview Park on November 16.
