Northern Ireland to welcome back fans for Nations League clash

Northern Ireland will welcome back a limited number of supporters for Sunday's Nations League game against Austria.

It has been announced that 600 fans will be socially distanced across the East, West and North Upper stands for the game.

It will be the first Northern Ireland home game to welcome back fans since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Irish FA CEO Patrick Nelson said; ‘We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for this eventuality and delighted to see that come to fruition.

"Having even a small band of the Green and White Army in on Sunday is great news."

The move follows Ulster Rugby's recent trial involving 600 supporters at their recent Pro14 game against Benetton.
