Northern Ireland slang summed up in brilliant video from Queen's University student

If you're from outside Northern Ireland you might struggle with some of our weird and wonderful turns of phrase.

But if you've ever found yourself confused then worry no longer.

A Queen's University student has produced a video explaining what some of our best phrases mean, including buck eejit, foundered, scundered, melter... and many more.

Christian Green, a Film and Theatre Making student, is part of the QUB Vlog team.

He explained: "When coming up with this video, we at Queen's thought, 'isn't it funny how we use words sometimes that actually make absolutely no sense when you try to define them?', and hence, the NI Slang video was born.

"Words like, 'wee', and, 'craic', pop up far too much within our day-to-day conversations, and sometimes we don't even realise it.

"But sure, sometimes we just use them for a wee bit of craic."
