Northern Ireland shop's kind-hearted gesture to help school kids who miss their bus

Staff at a shop in Northern Ireland are making sure no kid is ever left stranded if they miss their bus.

Morrow's SuperValu in Lurgan is opening up their store to any child who misses their bus and has no credit or battery on their phone.

They can pop into the shop and use their phone and wait until their lift arrives.

Area manager Liam Houston said  the shop was very much part of the community and the initiative had launched last year and gone down really well with local people.

"We did this last year and it proved quite successful," he said.

"Quite a few people took us up on the offer and we decided to do it again. I am a parent myself and we see ourselves as a community store and we want to help out our customers.

"It is another way to consider the local community and show them we put them at the heart of what we do.

"We had young ones coming in for all reasons and we just want to be able to help."
