Wigan Athletic have completed the signing of Northern Ireland international Jordan Jones.
The winger joins on a three-year deal from Rangers, subject to international clearance.
The 26-year-old will link up with Leam Richardson’s side ahead of Saturday’s season opener at Sunderland.
Speaking to the club website Jones said: “I’m over the moon – the move has been in the pipeline for a few weeks so I’m just thankful to be here and I cannot wait to get started and kick on.
“I spoke to the manager and a few of the players, and it seems there is such a positive vibe around the place at the minute - it’s something that I want to be a part of.
“They’ve got a clear vision with how they want to play football; playing attacking football and getting as many results as we can."
A Middlesbrough Academy graduate, Jones made his breakthrough into senior football with Kilmarnock after signing for the Rugby Park side in 2016.
Jones impressed the Killie fans over the years, playing over 100 games for the club and his performances for the Scottish side saw him earn his first senior international cap for Northern Ireland in November 2017.
In 2019, he signed for Rangers and featured 15 times in a season impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak and went on to score his first goal for the Gers at the start of the 2020/21 season.
Despite a good start to that campaign, Jones moved on loan to Sunderland and scored three times in 19 league appearances for the Black Cats last season, helping the team to finish in the Sky Bet League One Play-Off places.
Jones scored his first goal for Ian Baraclough's side in a 3-0 win against Malta in May.
