The Holiday at Home Voucher Scheme in Northern Ireland will be available on a household by household basis.
The scheme is designed to help boost the tourism industry following the coronavirus pandemic, by offering discounts for accommodation and tourism experiences during off-peak months.
It will allow Northern Ireland households to claim back 50% off a stay of two nights or more in certified accommodation, up to the value of £100.
Vouchers will also be issued, offering 50% off visits to attractions or tourism experience providers, up to the value of £20.
As opposed to the High Street Voucher Scheme, which is a £100 voucher that can be applied for by all those over the age of 18 in Northern Ireland, the Holiday at Home Voucher Scheme can only be applied for by households on a first-come first-served basis.
Each household in the region can apply for one type of each voucher, which can then be claimed back by uploading their receipt and voucher details online.
Earlier this year, the Department for Economy said the Holiday at Home Voucher would be launched in the autumn to drive demand after the peak summer season.
However, despite the High Street Scheme being given a launch date of September, there is still no date for the launch of the holiday scheme.
A spokesperson said: "The Department for Economy is currently working with the industry to decide on the most opportune time to launch the scheme. Details of the launch will be announced in due course.”
