The results are in from across Northern Ireland after counts that lasted into the early hours of Friday morning.
The polls opened at 7am and closed at 10pm on Thursday. From there, ballots were brought to count centres across the country, with the first results filtering through before 2am.
In the close contests, there were victories for John Finucane in North Belfast and Claire Hanna in South Belfast .
In Foyle, the seat went to the SDLP's Colum Eastwood while North Down went to the Alliance's Stephen Farry in a major win for the party.
