Northern Ireland defender Ciaron Brown joins Livingston in loan deal

Northern Ireland defender Ciaron Brown has joined Livingston on loan to the end of the season.

The Cardiff City 21-year-old returns to familiar territory having joined the Scottish Premiership club on a loan deal a year ago.

Brown played six league games for Livingston before returning to Cardiff, where he has made just one appearance this term.

The transfer was confirmed on Livingston's official website, with the club saying in a statement: “Livingston FC is delighted to announce the loan signing of Ciaron Brown from Cardiff City until the end of this season.

"Ciaron will be a familiar face to most as he had a previous loan spell at the Tony Macaroni Arena during the 2018-19 season.

"We are all thrilled to have Ciaron back at Livingston for the second half of the campaign."

Brown made his senior Northern Ireland debut in September in a 1-0 friendly victory over Luxembourg.

He becomes Livi's second signing of the transfer window after the Lions brought in goalkeeper Ryan Schofield on loan from Huddersfield Town.
