Northern Ireland coronavirus graph shows number of positive cases by council area in last 7 days

Thousands of people in Northern Ireland are testing positive for Covid-19 every week.

Our graph shows a breakdown of the number of positive cases by each of the 11 council areas in the country.

In the last seven days, from October 28 - November 3, 4,498 people have tested positive for coronavirus. This is down from 6,389 in the previous seven days.

In total, 34,956 people have been tested across Northern Ireland in the last seven days.

We have created a graph to show how the number of positive cases are broken down by council area, showing the highest number of positive cases is in the Belfast area and the lowest in Fermanagh and Omagh.

Antrim and Newtownabbey: 279

Ards and North Down: 225

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon: 459

Belfast: 906

Causeway Coast and Glens: 306

Derry City and Strabane: 452

Fermanagh and Omagh: 187

Lisburn and Castlereagh: 385

Mid and East Antrim: 288

Mid Ulster: 520

Newry, Mourne and Down: 336

Unknown: 155

The figures can also be broken down by age within each council area as is demonstrated in the graph below. There were more positive cases in the 20-39 age group in the last seven days compared to the other age groups.

In total, there were 587 positive cases in those aged 0-19, 1,541 in those aged 20-39, 1,396 in those aged 40-59, 655 in those aged 60-79 and 319 positive cases for those aged 80 and over.

Figures also show the rate per 100,000 for positive cases in each council area which is detailed below:
