A food festival is taking place over the bank holiday weekend with a virtual gin tent and cooking demonstrations.
The event will have masterclasses from top professionals who will be giving cooking tips online.
People will also be able to "step inside" virtual tents to browse artisan products from independent suppliers across the north, including Liverpool Lost Dock Rum.
Paul Askew, chef patron of The Art School in Liverpool and Paul Macnish, executive chef at Knowsley Hall will be amongst those giving cooking demos.
Chef Dave Critchley From Lu Ban Liverpool and Anton Petrowski from Roski on Rodney Street, will also be holding masterclasses.
The Northern Food and Drink Virtual Festival will take place on May 24 and 25 here .
The event was created to support and showcase northern producers, distributors and chefs within the region, during the coronavirus pandemic.
Demonstrations from Liverpool chefs to look out for include:
- Paul Askew, The Art School - 2pm on Sunday, May 24
- Dave Critchley, Lu Ban Liverpool - 6pm on Sunday, May 24
- Anton Petrowski, Roski - 4pm on Monday, May 25

Event organiser Sean Noonan said: “The aim is to support the businesses who would be affected by the loss of the food festivals and would have relied on this income.”
The team will also be supporting their nominated charity Hospitality Action and whilst there is no charge for virtual ‘admission’, small donations are welcome to help facilitate the great work they do.
