Northbound lanes closed after car hits light pole on Tuggeranong Parkway

Parts of the Tuggeranong Parkway have been closed to drivers after a single-car crash on Monday morning.

A driver travelling northbound on the parkway crashed into a light pole at 6.45am near the Hindmarsh Drive turn off.

The driver was the only person inside the car at the time of the crash.

Paramedics were called to the scene, but the driver did not require treatment.

No other injuries were reported

An ACT Emergency Services Agency spokeswoman said 1 1/2 northbound lanes were closed off to drivers.

"Cars are able to get through and use the slip lanes, but trucks can't," the spokeswoman said.

Fire and rescue crews remain at the scene.

The crash has caused minor delays on the road.

Actew AGL crews are at the scene and are isolating the power to the light pole hit by the car.
