A man was shot Friday while driving on Interstate 57 near south suburban Calumet Park.

The man, thought to be in his early 20s, was shot about 9:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes near 111th Street, according to Illinois State Police. Investigators believe the shots were fired from another vehicle.

He drove himself to Roseland Community Hospital, where he was stabilized, state police said.

Northbound lanes were closed at 127th Street for investigation, but all lanes reopened by 4 a.m. Friday, state police said.

Authorities said the victim has been uncooperative with investigators and the circumstances of the shooting remain unknown.
