Northampton v Nottingham Forest: pre-season kick-off time and streaming details

Northampton Town will welcome Nottingham Forest to the Sixfields Stadium tonight.

Kick-off is 7:45pm, and Forest fans will have a total allocation of 1175 tickets as fans slowly return back to football stadiums across the country.

The initial allocation of 750 tickets for Forest was quickly snapped up by the away supporters; therefore, Northampton made an additional 425 tickets available for the friendly.

For those who wish to buy a ticket last minute, they will be available to purchase from the stadium this evening.

Following a 2-0 win over Port Vale last weekend behind closed doors, fans will now be able to watch their young prospects from the stands.

Baba Fernandes, Mbe Soh, and goal scorers last time out, Jack Colback and Alex Mighten are all due to feature tonight.

It will also be interesting to see how Portuguese midfielder Joao Carvalho, who has recently come back from loan after a stint with Almeria in the Spanish second division, gets on as well.

Forest manager Chris Hughton will be looking to hand more minutes around his team as the new season approaches, while the club continues to work on transfer deals.

Hughton claimed he had a sense of ‘frustration’ over the slow start to the transfer window and following the loss of players.

For now, though, the 62-year-old boss is pleased with his squad’s recent progress during pre-season.

“All I can say is we’re working hard. There’s been a good structure this summer.

“We’re very confident bodies will come in.”

For those who are unable to attend the game, Forest will provide live text updates on Twitter, and alternatively, the home side will be providing updates on their official website.

The Reds have another three friendlies scheduled after their encounter with the Cobblers, an away visit to the Alexandra Stadium to face Crewe on Saturday, July 24 before travelling to Bodymoor Heath training ground to face Dean Smith’s Aston Villa on Wednesday, July 28 (1pm kick-off).

Hughton squad will then face the last Premier League opposition of their pre-season schedule, Burnley at the City Ground on Saturday, July 31 (3pm) before the league season kicks off.
