Glenn Irwin proved his class on Thursday as he claimed pole position in Superbike qualifying at the North West 200.
In an incredible session, Dean Harrison, Alastair Seeley and Irwin all broke the unofficial lap record around the Triangle circuit.
It was Harrison who looked set to clinch pole as he became the first rider to do a lap in under 4 mins and 22 seconds.
But British Superbikes star Irwin then bettered it by clocking 4:21.767 to pip Harrison by 0.20secs.
Michael Dunlop was fourth fastest with an average speed of 121.932mph.

Thursday's session had to be stopped following a red flag incident when a rider came off on the approach to Ballysally roundabout.
It was officially described as ‘not serious’.
A second delay happened at the end of the restarted session after a crash at Magherabuoy chicane.
Thankfully the rider involved was not seriously injured.
