North Wales golf course for sale in offer that could tempt those in search of 'new lifestyle'

A golf course in North Wales has been placed on the market by the couple who founded the site 25 years ago.

Bryn and Menna Jones started Silver Birch Golf Course in 1995 with a small nine hold course on redundant farmland in the village of Betws-yn-Rhos, Conwy county.

Over the years they have developed this into an 18 hole golf course with clubhouse and added a footgolf facility as well.

Now they are looking to retire and have placed the course on the market with Falcon Commercial for just under £1.5m.

Menna said it was the right time to go and believes this could be the perfect investment for a family looking for a new "lifestyle".

She said: "We always intended to do this and to retire once we got the business to where we wanted it.

"We now think it is time for fresh blood to take the business on to the next stage.

"This is a great business and an opportunity for someone to come in with new enthusiasm. There is more potential here to expand the clubhouse offer into the evenings.

"I think this will be appealing, there will be those who have reassessed their lifestyle in lockdown and this could be a change of lifestyle for someone.

"We are optimistic about securing a sale."
