New businesses across North Wales are being encouraged to enter this year’s Wales Startup Awards, which are exclusive to Welsh companies that have launched within the preceding three years.
Launched in 2016, the awards provide a unique opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of those new businesses that are making the greatest impact on the Welsh economy.
The closing date for entries is May 31.
The North Wales Economic Ambition Board is backing the awards, and portfolio office director Alwen Williams believes they are an excellent platform to showcase innovative and exciting businesses that are emerging in Wales.
She added: “Welsh entrepreneurs continue to inspire with their resilient and ambitious drive.
“We’re proud to continue as a sponsor to the Start-Up Awards and look forward to seeing these businesses prosper in the future.
“The stories we hear from businesses through the Start-Up Awards are truly inspiring and can demonstrate to others the opportunities that entrepreneurship provides.”
Last year’s North Wales Startup of the Year was the Enbarr Foundation which is renovating the beautiful John Summers Clock Tower in Deeside alongside the community.
Founder Vicky Roskams said: “Winning the award gave us independent recognition that rewards all the hard work of both the organisation and the community into the project and cemented the credibility of the services and support we have on offer.”
