It won't be the celebration she'd hoped for.
For her 30th birthday, Jade Paice had planned to fly to Tenerife with her family, and later enjoy a special night out in Liverpool with her best friend.
Instead, it'll be a quiet barbecue in the garden with her husband and daughters - before returning to work to care for some of the most vulnerable Covid-19 patients.
Hard-working Jade is an intensive care nurse on ward 18 at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, which has put her on the very frontline of the pandemic crisis.
On Monday, her 30th birthday, husband Jay Paice, 36, has asked us to help celebrate the dedicated mum-of-two, from Shiremoor, North Tyneside, by wishing her a very happy birthday.
"Fun, outgoing" Jade more than deserves an extra-special day, after months of hard work and stress, juggling her work with coronavirus patients with being an "amazing" mam to daughters Phoebe, four, and Lexie, eight.
Jay, 36, said: "Jade works so hard - even before all this she was working so hard - and our holiday to Tenerife had been something for her to look forward to. She won't get that now, but I still want to make sure her 30th is special.
"Obviously this crisis has been hard on her - she's scared in case she brings it home, she has to work in all the PPE when she's on the ward. It's been properly stressful, and I feel so proud of her for everything she's doing."
He added: "Happy birthday Jade, we love you loads - love from Jay and your two babies."
