What’s Going To Happen
This isn’t for the Conference USA West title, but it’ll go a long way to deciding who’ll end up placing for the conference championship.
Southern Miss has the team to rise up and dominate, but its had major problems against Troy a few weeks ago and now has to deal with a North Texas offense that leads the conference in yards, but doesn’t quite have the firepower of past seasons.
The Mean Green couldn’t handle Houston a few weeks ago, but for the most part the defense has okay. It’s about to have a really, really rough day, though, against the dangerous Southern Miss pass rush.
The Golden Eagles just have to figure out how to take the ball away once in a while. They have the efficient passing game, and they have the defensive front, but they have to put it all together and be more consistent. That might not happen this week, but they’ll get a nice win with Louisiana Tech up next.
