Families will have a spring in their step this weekend as the North East's eagerly-awaited inflatable theme park sensation finally opens its doors.
Ever since the company behind Inflata Nation - the attraction which is proving a UK-wide hit - announced the happy news of the bouncing new arrival for the region, all ages have been keenly awaiting the big day.
And it arrives this Saturday.
The giant new 20,000 sq ft attraction will open its doors at Royal Quay in in North Shields on April 13 - in ideal time for families to enjoy some bouncing action over the Easter school holidays.
That date will offer visitors a first chance to try out the huge range of facilities within the indoor arena.
Already they've been given an idea of North Shields' giant inflatable theme park is set to open and here's what visitors can expect , with news of a catapult and death drop slide; obstacle course; demolition ball; multi-lane slides; Total Wipeout balls zone and a gladiator podium.
Owners Michelle and Matt Ball, the husband and wife team behind the theme parks which have taken off in major cities such as Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow, picked the North East for their latest venture due to its fun-loving reputation.
Once the attraction is up and running, they are also planning to host a dating night for singles.
They said: "We love to see people of all ages having great fun and enjoying themselves in our centres and we get tremendous satisfaction opening in new locations.
“We can’t wait to throw open the doors to our North Shields venue."
Expected opening hours at Inflata Nation, which also includes a special Inflata Tots area for the under-fours, are due to be from noon until 9pm on weekdays (from 10am during school holidays) and 9am- 9pm on weekends, with last sessions getting under way an hour before closing time.
