A man has died four days after being pulled from a north Queensland local pool where he was practising free diving.
Emergency services performed CPR for 40 minutes on the man at a Townsville local pool on Saturday after he was found unconscious and not breathing when pulled from the water.
The 29-year-old had been practising free diving before the incident,
He was taken to Townsville University Hospital in critical condition.
After being placed in an induced coma upon arrival his life support was turned off on Wednesday evening.
Police and Work Place Health and safety are investigating, while a report will be prepared for the coroner.
