Westrec Marinas, which operates North Point Marina in Winthrop Harbor, has updated its status on Sunday, March 22, to closed in an online release.
The key paragraph is this one, which birders and wildlife photographers should note as well as boaters and anglers:
North Point Marina including Skipper Bud’s, Winthrop Harbor Yacht Club, The Tropics, and surrounding park land are CLOSED to public access through April 7th or as soon as the “stay at home” order is lifted and the IL DNR authorizes the park and marina to reopen.
