North Lanarkshire recycling centres now fully operational after lockdown

North Lanarkshire recycling centres are now fully operational.

Residents are now able to dispose of a wide variety of household waste.

The centres, including those in Netherton and Shotts, are for North Lanarkshire residents only so you must show photographic ID and proof of address.

To comply with physical distancing guidelines, traffic management is still in place at the centres and the number of vehicles allowed in at any one time is restricted.

A North Lanarkshire Council spokesperson said: “Queues are likely so please be patient.

“Vans up to 3.5t gross weight and single axle trailers only will be allowed into four of our centres – Netherton, Shotts, Coatbridge or Cumbernauld. Vans and trailers cannot use the other centres.

“Vans must book in at least one day in advance. Bookings will not be accepted on the day at the centres.

“No commercial waste allowed. Vans will be checked before entering the centres and will be refused entry if the material does not match the booking form or is deemed to be commercial.”
