North Korea has fired more projectiles into the sea as it extends a recent streak of weapons tests, South Korea’s military has said.
The South’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said the missiles were twice launched from an area on the North's eastern coast.
Updating reporters on the latest tests on Friday, they did not immediately say how far the projectiles travelled.
North Korea has conducted a slew of short-range ballistic tests in recent weeks.
The tests are believed to be aimed at pressuring Washington and Seoul over slow nuclear diplomacy.
The North has expressed frustration over stalemated nuclear negotiations with Donald Trump and its leader Kim Jong-un and at US-South Korea joint military drills.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff alerted reporters to the launches hours after the North issued a statement berating South Korea.
The statement said it is "senseless" for Seoul to hope for a resumption of inter-Korean dialogue while it continues military exercises with the US.
