A source told Dublin Live that the death is not believed to be suspicious.

It is understood that the man was availing of homeless services at the time of his death.

Councillor and Inner City Helping Homeless founder Anthony Flynn passed on his sympathies to the man's family.

He said: "Another person has died in homeless services on Tuesday.

This brings the number of deaths we are aware of currently to 45+ this year.

"A really saddening situation that is definitely not being dealt with the seriousness or importance that it needs to be.

"The way the system operates must change, we must move towards trauma informed care."

He concluded: "Continuity of wrap around support services and appropriate exit plans is needed for everyone who enters a failing system."

Feed Our Homeless founder Tony Walsh added: "Another homeless person has lost their life within the services.

"This brings the number of homeless deaths to 45 which is disgraceful and totally unacceptable."

A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a sudden death on North Frederick Street in Dublin on 18 May at approximately 7.25pm.

"A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His body was later removed and taken to the local Morgue where a post-mortem will be conducted at a later date."
