A terrifying robber wearing a North Face tracksuit reportedly used a knife to steal a cash box outside Tesco.

Police were called to the Tesco Express on Princess Drive, Dovecot, at around 2.30pm to reports that three men had demanded a cash box from a security guard.

It is believed that one of the robbers, who was wearing North Face tracksuit bottoms, was carrying a knife when the terrifying incident was carried out.

After the men got the cash box they reportedly fled the scene in a dark blue Audi which was found abandoned on Hawthorne Road in Huyton a short time later.
