Temperatures look set to drop this week, with frost and wintry showers possible towards the end of the week.
Forecasters predict showers across the region, particularly on higher grounds and towards the coast, with potential to turn wintry.
The official Met Office forecast for Tuesday is: "Further showers expected, most likely affecting coastal parts. Showers falling across high ground potentially turning wintry. Staying drier across western areas with variable cloud and sunny spells. Rather cold. Maximum temperature 4 °C."
The outlook for Wednesday to Friday is: "Very cold, especially overnight with widespread frosts. Often sunny, however daytime temperatures remaining close to freezing. Showers, predominantly along coasts, becoming increasingly wintry to lower levels with icy patches possible."
