After a cloudy start, Tuesday is set to be sunny and dry across the North East with temperatures expected to reach the high teens.
However, that will become mostly cloudy by Wednesday, while there's a 10% chance of rain in the morning and early afternoon. Towards the end of the day, the sun will come out before a clear night.
The Met Office said: "Mostly cloudy during the morning, but turning brighter into the afternoon with increasingly prolonged sunny spells. Remaining dry. Rather cool by the coast, but warmer inland. Maximum temperature 19 °C."
