A fog and misty start which will turn to sun later for most parts of the region.
Areas woke up to colder weather on Thursday morning with fog and misty patches, especially near the coast and north of the region. Cloudy patches are expected to fade away to a sunny day inland however forecasters have predicted it will persist near the coast.
The Met Office weather forecast states : "Cloudy near the coast and north of the region at first, with mist and fog patches elsewhere. Cloud fading away to a sunny day inland, but possibly persisting along the coast. Mostly mild, but cool and breezy along the coastline. Maximum temperature 14C."

This patchy cloud in the coast is expected to become "extensive" early in the evening and slow head inland overnight. Tonight's weather forecast states: "Patchy cloud becoming extensive along the coast early in the evening, then slowly feeding inland overnight. Breezy and milder than last night. Minimum temperature 3C."
