The North East is set for a warmer Tuesday after an icy start to 2023.
After icy conditions but a dry and sunny day on Monday, the weather is set to turn warmer and wetter as the week goes on. is expected to see the best weather of the week with a dry and sunny day ahead.
According to the Met Office, Tuesday's wet and windy day will be set the town for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday too.

The forecasters have said this is what to look out for on Tuesday: "Cloudy, wet and windy initially. Drier and brighter for a time during late morning, but further rain, spreading east in the afternoon, heavy at times and accompanied by strong winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C."
