North East weather: An hour-by-hour forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday according to the Met Office

People across the North East may need to dig out their umbrellas.

Over the next two days, there is expected to be scattered showers with periods of heavy rain. However it is set to remain warm across the region with a maximum temperature of 23 °C.

According to the Met Office, it will be a dry start to the day on Tuesday with some bright or sunny spells. Forecasters predict that scattered showers will develop during the morning, turning heavy in places during the afternoon and evening.
