A number of roads and streets across the North East will be closed this week.
Take a look at our list provided below and make sure to make allowances for these closures as you go about your travels in the coming days.
Diversion routes will be in place on various roads. Here are the road closures in the North East for this week from Monday, May 30 to Sunday, June 5:

Blyth: The Links Road southbound is closed due to one-way system and roadworks between Gordon Road and the A193 Rotary Way. Road is northbound only for the duration of the works. Until May 31.
Seaham: Temporary traffic lights are in place due to gas main work on thw B1287 North Road at North Terrace. Until 5pm on May 31.
Choppington: Barrington Road is closed in both directions due to resurfacing work between Barrington Industrial Estate (Choppington) and Red Row Drive Roundabout (Bedlington). This is between 8amd and 5pm until September 30..
Chester-le-Street:Temporary traffic lights are in place due to roundabout construction on the A183 Chester Road at the Houghton-le-Spring turnoff. This is until September 16.
Sunderland: Temporary traffic lights are in place due to roadworks on the A183 Whitburn Road near Lowry Road (Morrison's roundabout). This is until July 31.
Jarrow: Temporary traffic lights are in force due to gas main work on the A185 Victoria Road East near Northbourne Road. The works are due to end at 5pm on June 28.
Tynemouth: Temporary traffic lights are in place due to roadworks on the A191 Rake Lane near The Nursery. This is until July 29.
Tynemouth: Temporary traffic lights are in place due to long-term roadworks on the A191 Rake Lane at the North Shields turn off until July 29.
