North East road closures and roadworks for the upcoming week

There are a number of roads and streets across the region which will be closed causing all kinds of traffic disruption for motorists.

There are temporary traffic lights due to water main work on A167 from Hett Lane to A167 (Croxdale Roundabout) in Croxdale, County Durham. This will be in place until 4th April.

All cars could soon be fitted with 24/7 tracking devices under tax shake-up (Newcastle Chronicle)

There's a temporary traffic regulation order on Worswick Street until 25th March 2022.

Sunniside Gardens, Tanfield Road, Hollinside Gardens in the Benwell and Scotswood Ward will also be closed.

Brunton Road and Brunton Lane in Newcastle also have lane restrictions until the 25th.

There are also temporary traffic lights due to roadworks on the A183 Whitburn Road near Lowry Road (Morrison's roundabout) in Seaburn.
