The North East has been enjoying a generous dose of sun recently with temperatures regularly shooting up to the mid-twenties. But will the good weather continue into the weekend?
Friday will be a rather cloudy day, with a risk of some showery rain that could become heavy at times. However, these showers will ease through the day and into the evening with the Met Office warning it will feel "fresher than recent days".
People can enjoy a maximum temperature of 19°C on Friday and as we look to Saturday temperatures could rise to 21°C at around 4pm. Saturday will be largely sunny and dry before it turns cloudy during the evening.

The Met Office forecast for the North East reads: "Dry through the weekend and into Monday, with sunshine returning and winds remaining light. Temperatures climbing through the period feeling hot in places by Monday."
